28A- Your Exit Strategy
Identify the exit strategy you plan to make. Do you intend to sell your business in the next 5 years for a large return? Do you intend to stay with the business for several decades and retire? Do you intend to protect the venture as a family business, and pass it down to your children?
I intend to sell the business for a large return.
1) Why have you selected this particular exit strategy?
It is a simple business model, and will not require much time to start-up, develop, or produce. As such, it will not be difficult to sell the simple product and business concept.
2) How do you think your exit strategy has influenced the other decisions you've made in your concept? For instance, has it influenced how you have identified an opportunity? Has it influenced your growth intentions or how you plan to acquire and use resources?
It influenced my business model to remain as simple as possible. There was no addition of technology or separate pieces, and it can be modified to reach new markets. This would aid in selling the products and business itself.
Hi Adriana,
ReplyDeleteI also intend to sell my business eventually. I agree with your methods of keeping your business model simple, because in the end it will make it easier for you to do your best business. I had also made sure to keep my business model as simple and transparent so that in the future, when the time comes to sell my business, the process would go as smoothly as possible. Great post!
